Social Studies

Social studies is by far one of my favorite things to explore as a learner. I like keeping the 'social' in my social studies activities. Whether it's doing a class election complete with delegates, or running class meetings using Robert's Rules of order, or creating wall sized maps for my students to work with over the course of a map skills unit...I keep things fresh and engaging each time I explore this content with my students. We don't shy away from the 'tough' subjects. I relish the rich debates that often occur when our opinions collide. Check out the posts below for ideas on bringing your history lessons to life!
