Greetings all! 🙂
Happy Weekend to ya! 🙂 My Five for Friday’s tend to turn into five for SATURDAY, with as busy as I’ve been! LOL! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by to see me though! 🙂
If you’ve not linked up with Doodlebugs Teaching before…all you do is write about five random things that happened to you this week, and then link up on her blog! 🙂
We’ve been working on a unit I wrote on the Underground Railroad. I’ve been teaching it for years and just adding things to it every year…or taking things out depending on the class. This year, I have the kind of class that can handle ‘the works’! We have had a blast this last two weeks reading all kinds of books on the time period!
Random Item 5.) I think the kids responded to making drums the best. LOL! 🙂 We got cans from the cafeteria and dressed up the outside with a simple pattern. Then we practiced reading our poems in rhythm…and we also worked on syllabification of two, three and four syllable words from our unit! A good time was had by all! 🙂
