June Currently: June 1, 2013

Greetings sweet bloggy followers!

It’s time for another Currently with the super fabulous Meg Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade! ๐Ÿ™‚

This month’s Currently is brought to you by a wonderful blogger named Jen over at…

She’s got great ideas for firsties, so, definately head on over and check her out too, if you get a chance! ๐Ÿ™‚  I think she’s simply marvelous! ๐Ÿ™‚

So…this is what I’m up to…currently!

LISTENING
The hubs is a fan of all sports.  Which sport does not really matter.  If it’s an officially sanctioned sporting event…he will watch.  He even likes CURLING.  And I’m not talking about with a blanket.
Anywhoo…he’s got me watching the hockey play offs.  But…in all honesty they are watching me. ๐Ÿ™‚  Hockey is just not my thing.  I mean, if I HAVE to cheer for a team, it would be the Rangers–but thanks to the hubs, I know that they are out, so, I’m cheering for his team…
THE CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS
The Blackhawks won, but now we are watching the second game.  The Penguins vs. the Bruins.  Chris LOVES the guy doing the play by play.  Apparently, he’s pretty famous.  I just think he’s a wee bit too excited about hockey. ๐Ÿ™‚
LOVING
The chicken pot pie I made!  I have these cute new corningware dishes and I just whipped it up! I was so proud!  I make chicken pot pie all the time, but I thought this way would be easier to clean up or store afterwards!
THINKING
Every year at this time we get ants.  I don’t know anything about ants really, but it’s EVERY end of May/early June.  They are a pain in the neck. ๐Ÿ™  So, since we eat in the living room and there’s a sliding door out to the backyard…they come in here first. ๐Ÿ™  Ugh.  We saw our first few on Wednesday and then none until last night. So…the battle begins.
WANTING
This June Morning Work Pack is probably my best yet, but as a result is taking FOREVER. :/  I’ve been working on it all day, and I still have like three more pages before it’s ready for an edit.  I’m glad to be posting this right now, to give my creative juices some time to get a break before going back. ๐Ÿ™‚
NEEDING
I can’t believe that it happened, but it did.  I let my garden go to ‘garden heaven’ this year.  My husband’s been telling me that we’ve got tomatoes…but…when I looked in the backyard for the first time in two weeks, I saw we had tomatoes alright…on some DEAD PLANTS. :/  I’ve been too busy for my own good. ๐Ÿ™  So sad.  Last year, I had a really great garden, too…
3 VACAY ESSENTIALS
Since I got it two years ago, I don’t go anywhere without my Kindle Fire.  I read on it to relax as often as I can.  It’s a vacay MUST HAVE for me.  I also mentioned having a map.  When the hubs and I go on vacation, we often just set an END POINT and then make stops along the way…so, a map is handy for those kinds of trips.  (We like to find random spots to eat or check out local historical sites.)  Last vacay essential would be a blanket for my lap.  I am ALWAYS cold and he is ALWAYS hot, so…seeing as how he can’t take things off in the car to get cooler…I just put on extra layers to stay warmer! ๐Ÿ™‚
Can’t wait to find out what you’re up to…currently!

What a cool way to vacation! Do you plan out your stops prior to the trip, or just spontaneously decide?

Tamara, you always make me smile ๐Ÿ™‚ I did a garden a few years ago and it went great. The next year, we bought all the stuff and I never finished following through. I guess by the time I think of doing it, it's almost always too late. Good luck with the ants! We have the exact same problem ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, Faith…:) You're sweet! I'm a mess…but you are TOO SWEET! ๐Ÿ™‚ Ugh…if we come up with a solution on those crazy ants…I'll blog on it…or email! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for coming over! ๐Ÿ™‚

        XOXO

I'm with you on the hating ants bandwagon! What is it about hot weather and their need to sneak inside my house?! Maybe they just like the air-con ๐Ÿ™‚
