10 Tasty Gluten Free Snacks for the Classroom

September 27, 2015 by Tamara

This year, one of my sweeties has an allergy to gluten.
During the year, as a special reward, I offer my class healthy snacks.  Years before, it really didn’t matter what kind of snack I offered, but this year, I’m more cognizant of all of my littles feeling included and having something healthy too! 🙂

So began my search for TASTY gluten free things in the classroom.
In researching for my sweetie, and for this post too…I noticed two things:
1.) A lot of gluten free snacks are homemade.
2.) Gluten free prepackaged snacks can sometimes be pricey. 🙁

I just don’t have time to cook something.  I LOVE to cook, but, I just can’t do it as often as these guys are getting rewarded. It’s a good problem to have…I know! 🙂  Hee hee hee! 🙂  So, I will give you my suggestions for both fresh fruit & veggie options as well as a few other types of snack that can be kept in a cabinet! 🙂

So here are are my top 10 snacks that I’m sharing with my students this year, and also asking parents to occasionally buy for me as well! 🙂

These were the first snacks I did this year! 🙂 The kids loved them! 🙂 Fruity and sweet! 🙂

Here’s a great tasting gluten free Chex Mix Recipe from a blogger that blogs extensively on gluten free meals! 🙂 Check it out HERE.

This one is new to me, but it’s cheap.  We’ll be trying this in our classroom soon! 🙂

I am a granola lover! 🙂 This one tastes good, but can be on the pricey side.  You can find it at Walmart in some regular sized packs, but in snack sized ones too!

Glad to find regular potato chips on this list.  The Lay’s Website says that these are gluten free! 🙂 Can you imagine?

You can’t go wrong with Cuties! 😉  They will make your classroom smell SO GOOD! 🙂

I love a good fruit snack, and these from Fruit by the Foot are gluten free!  Hallelujah! 🙂

I love veggies and dip!  These snacks could totally work for my class!  I’ll have to check on the dips…some may NOT be gluten free…but it’s all in one neat package and I love that!

I first had these on a plane and I am in love with them!  Light and fluffy–they taste GREAT!!

These are my favorite!  Not only are they PIRATE themed…but they taste good too! 🙂

I hope that this list helps you to get some good snacks for your gluten free kidlets.  Are there any that you like that I missed?  Let me know in the comments! 🙂 Always looking for new and tasty things to try with my students!
