Peek at my Week: Learning about Pets

September 8, 2014 by Tamara

urban vs rural
Thanks DeeDee for hosting this fun linky about our plans for the week! 🙂
Last week was a fantastic week! 🙂  We had so much fun!
We learned all about the differences between urban vs. rural.  The ideas worked out so well, I put them into a brand new pack!
This week, we are learning all about PETS! 🙂
I’ll be integrating our science studies into my reading block this week to create some time in the afternoon to try out our first STEM task!
I’ve planned for three days of integrated lessons.
There’s a bit of math and also literacy included as well.
I am still working on the craft, and when I’m all done with that, I’ll put it in my store for you guys! 🙂
Word Work Centers: Initial L Blends This week, I’ll be using a few of my centers from this unit! 🙂  I love word sorts!  They are simple and easy to prep, and the students can do them independently in first grade!  There are four stations in this particular set.  They have a mix of words and differentiated response sheets so that I can craft the activity to specific students.
Now, on to my visual plans! 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂
