My last hurrah with Daina! :)

July 29, 2013 by Tamara

Good morning everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚  Over the weekend we had a little rafflecopter for my Common Core Assessment pack! ๐Ÿ™‚  Drum roll please…
Check your emails ladies! ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you guys getting ready for a new school year yet?  I haven’t really thought about getting into my classroom yet, but…I was thinking about packing!:)  Not for me…but for Daina! ๐Ÿ™‚ Daina, from Sticky Notes & Glitter was my teaching bestie this year, and she needed a hand packing up her room so…we got together and knocked it out! ๐Ÿ™‚  She’s moving to Texas today! ๐Ÿ™‚ I was pretty proud of myself.  I only cried once! ๐Ÿ™‚  You know what got me?  Looking at books that we had separated out at the end of last year to write unit plans for.  Thankfully, she’s only a click away on facebook! ๐Ÿ™‚  Plus, her husband’s family is still local…so…she will be back for visits! ๐Ÿ™‚  Check out our packing experience! ๐Ÿ™‚

Aww Adriane!  This chick is fun, Fun, FUN!  She had us in stitches the entire time…and BOY can she clean! :0)  If I ever move anywhere…Adriane…you are on my cleaning crew chica! ๐Ÿ™‚
Um…how come Adriane had such an easy set of cabinets? What gives, Daina?
This cabinet was where Daina stashed some of our best craftivities.  I got a bit misty thinking about all the fun times we had doing these!
Oh look! It’s our Mother’s Day Craft! ๐Ÿ™‚  There’s an extra template!  My mom will be thrilled!  She wanted to take one home with her after her visit and we stashed the two we had!  Now, I have one and Daina is taking hers to Texas! ๐Ÿ™‚  So…since I know you read every post, Mommy…this one is waiting when you come back next MAY! ๐Ÿ™‚
Here in our county we are ‘saving money’ by not running the air conditioning in the summer.  Before I got there, Adriane and Daina were clicking that puppy on every time it cut off.  One of the office ladies came by to say goodbye to Daina and mentioned that we weren’t supposed to have the air on…so…like every 15 minutes either Daina or Adriane said something about turning on the air.  Then…miraculously…it turned on by ITSELF!!  They were so excited…so we took this picture! ๐Ÿ™‚
We really got into cleaning and went to get some gloves.  Adriane pulled this one out of the box…just like this!  Maybe its the new style in cleaning gloves?  Going pinky free does help with air circulation though! ๐Ÿ™‚
I think that the reason why Daina is smiling here is because there’s a ton of stuff that she’s getting ready to dump, er, ah…donate to my classroom.
Check out this table of goodies! ๐Ÿ™‚  All mine! ๐Ÿ™‚
Ta-da! All packed up and ready to go! ๐Ÿ™‚
We really had a great year together and I look forward to what the future will bring for us both as we continue to do the job that we love with kids that make it the greatest profession in the world to wake up to!
Good luck in Dallas, Daina! ๐Ÿ™‚  You’re going to be AMAZING! ๐Ÿ™‚  Love you bunches! ๐Ÿ˜‰
