Hello everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚  Welcome back to the book study on Teach Like a Pirate!
Today, we are discussing ENTHUSIASM!!!!

This is a picture of the greatest closer of all time…
MARIANO RIVERA!
When he walks into Yankee Stadium, they play ‘Enter the Sandman’.  He is a lights out kind of pitcher.  Although he is nearing the end of his career, I love seeing him pitch!  There’s nothing like the roar of the crowd when he comes running out of the bull pen…even to this day!

Burgess said that ‘Enthusiasm is the closer that comes into the game in the ninth inning and fiishes it off!’

Can you be enthusiastic, even if you don’t feel it?
I give you…exhibit A.

Did Burgess bring this scene up in the book…oh yes he did!  And I laughed out loud!!

BOTTOM LINE: Model enthusiasm in your lessons and students will engage the content more readily!

Thanks for coming along with me on this journey so far!  I’m really loving this book!
I hope that you are too!
