This 70 page download includes 15 days of morning work in both language arts and math. There is a ‘TROPICAL CHRISTMAS VERSION’ and a ‘TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS VERSION’. Many of you that follow my blog & facebook fan page know that I am a Florida based teacher. I was so excited to put together a pack that reflected what Christmas looks like for my learners, but I also recognize that many of the rest of you ‘snow bunnies’ need something that reflects what your environment looks like as well! 🙂 I just substituted the tropical clips for more a more traditional look in the second pack. The worksheet pages are…for the most part…exactly the same. Just different clips to reflect the theme.

The packet is set up in groups of five. The first four pages are for basic skill review. The fifth page is always a review page and has a fun coloring extension as well!

In the December Edition of this pack, your first grade students will cover the following skills:

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Reading commonly used words for first graders

Phonemic Awareness: Identifying the initial blend in words based on picture clues.

Punctuation: Writing complete sentences with ending punctuation.

MATHEMATICS:

Addition & Subtraction: Solve a number sentence with a missing number through 20

Counting on or Back through 120.

Word Problems: Solve basic word problems and demonstrate understanding by writing number sentences and using written strategies.

Strategies: Counting on, Counting Back, and Flip & Go (Commutative Property)
