The teachers of Teaching Mosaic are reading this summer! Here are our suggestions for books that will grow your ability to work with students of diverse populations.
Happy summer friends!
It’s been crazy busy over here at the Russell’s, but…I can always make time for reading!
Many of you know that I help to facilitate a group of teacher/bloggers called Teaching Mosaic. The premise of the group is to create a space for teachers of color who also blog to have support and community while they work to amplify the voices of their student populations and create diverse resources for teachers across the country. Several of us work in diverse populations and have been reading some books to challenge our thinking with regard to race, poverty and student achievement. If that description fits you, click HERE to join our group!
So, without further ado…here are the books that we’ve been reading this summer!
If you’d like to know our thoughts on the book…click on the image to be directed to their blogs.
All of these teachers can be found on Teachers Pay Teachers. If you aren’t following them, you should be! 🙂 They are fantastic!
I am doing a book study for this in my teacher tribe group! Want to catch up with us there? Click HERE for a link to my tribe group!
