This is indeed true in the classroom as well! :)As many of you know…I am from Florida. ย This upcoming week is FCAT!
FCAT is the standardized test for the state of Florida.
It’s a super stressful week for the kids and the teachers!
This journey isn’t a sprint…it’s a marathon…and by this time of the year…kids and teachers look like this…
But we need them to finish strong like this…
One of the ways that my class chose to do that this week was to write words of encouragement for some of our third grade classes!
I made posters with encouraging phrases on them and had all the kids in my class and Daina’s sign them.
It’s important for the kids to understand that everyone needs support…and they will certainly want it when they are doing their test too! ๐ ย By the time my firsties make it to third…PARCC will be in full swing…and trust me, from everything I hear about how the new tests will look…they will need all the encouragement they can get! ๐
So…if you’re a Florida public school teacher…or you just follow the blogs of upper elementary, middle and high school teachers from Florida…make sure you leave them some words of encouragement! ๐
It’s a big week for them! ๐
